Finding companionship
Even when we’re surrounded by people, we can feel lost and lonely.Having a personal ritual brings us back to ourselves and the present moment. Whatever form they take, these little gestures ground us, helping us to reflect and reconnect with our thoughts and feelings each and every day.
I love to make my evening ritual a slow one, and I enjoy every part of it.
I pray to God, I read the Quran (our holy book), I write in my journal, and I take time with my skincare routine.
The light of my oil lamp is a discreet companion, providing warmth and comfort without intruding on these precious minutes of tranquillity.
I’m all by myself, yet I’m not lonely at all.
