These terms and conditions (T&Cs) describe the basis for the purchase by you and sale by us of the goods described on www.akilamps.com (the Website).

These terms and conditions should be read alongside, and are in addition to, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy which tell you how we use your personal information.
We may amend these T&Cs from time to time. Please check on top of this page to see when these T&Cs were last updated. Every time you order from us, the T&Cs in force at the time of your order will apply to the contract between you and us. We recommend that you save a copy of the T&Cs at the time of your order for your future reference and there will be a link allowing you to keep and store these terms in the order confirmation email.

The Website is owned by ERCOLE 1958 di Laura Ercole, company registration number RCLLRA74B45B006K , VAT number IT02576990226, and whose registered office is located at Via per Telve, 75/7, 38051 Borgo Valsugana (Trento) Italy.
You have chosen to visit the Website in Italy in order to purchase our Products. As a consequence, irrespective of your place of residence, any purchase you make will occur in Italy and will be governed by these T&Cs and the laws of Italy.
By placing an order on this Website, you confirm that you have read these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, and that you agree to them.
The purchase of Products through the Website is strictly limited to parties who can lawfully enter into and form contracts on the Website in accordance with Italian law and restricted to end consumers.


Eligibility and formation of the contact

In order to make a purchase through the Website you need to register a personal online account. When you make a purchase and/or register a personal online account, you will be required to provide information about yourself including your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, which is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects.
When you register a personal online account you will also be required to create a password. Should any of your registration information change in the future you are required to amend your personal online account immediately. In case you do not amend your personal online account, any notice sent to your last address will be deemed as received. The personal information provided are used and saved according to our Privacy Policy

We may change registration requirements from time to time.
We will confirm receipt of your order through our automatic screen confirmation of the order and we send you an email confirmation. Please note that at this stage your order for goods may not have been accepted by us.

We will confirm our acceptance of your order for goods by sending you an email confirming that the goods have been dispatched (Dispatch Confirmation).
The Contract between us will only be formed when we send you the Dispatch Confirmation.


Online ordering process

The ordering process consists of following steps:
  1. You add the Products which you wish to purchase to your shopping cart;
  2. to proceed with the purchase you must click the “Check Out” botton;
  3. provide a delivery address and register an account;
  4. select your preferred delivery method (fees subject to our Shipping Policy);
  5. select your Payment Method and provide any requested payment information;
  6. you will be asked to read carefully the T&Cs;
  7. before submitting your order you will have a final opportunity to review the Products to be purchased and their prices (including any additional charges and fees such as delivery costs or discount codes) and all of the information you have submitted; and
  8. you will click “Pay Now” to finalise your order and in doing so accept the T&Cs. By clicking 'Pay Now' you submit a legally binding offer.



All Products are subject to availability. Only products that are physically available in stock can be ordered from the Website. The availability of items in the warehouse is precise; however, there may be minor delays in communication between the current number of stock in the warehouse and the number displayed on the Website. We will inform you as soon as possible if the Products you have ordered are not available.

We only supply Products for domestic and private use in reasonable quantities expected of an end consumer and we do not make bulk sales. We do not sell more than 6 of the same item to any consumer. If you order more than this quantity in one order or in a series of orders we may request confirmation from you that you are a consumer rather than an un-authorised re-seller and we may refuse to accept your offer to purchase the Products ordered.

If you like to order bigger quantities for a special events or occasions (ie weddings), please write us at info@akilamps.com and we will be glad to provide you with a custom offer.



All prices shown are expressed in Euros and include Italian VAT.
The total for your order is confirmed at checkout, before you proceed to pay and complete your order. Delivery charges (as applicable) shall be added during the checkout process, see our Shipping page for details of our shipping times and costs.

If your order is for delivery to a destination outside of the European Union, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes. It is your responsibility to pay any such duties and taxes. Any such duties and taxes may vary in different territories. We are unable to advise you in relation to any import duties and taxes and we recommend you contact the local customs office at the delivery destination in this respect.

We reserve the right to amend our prices and delivery charges at any time, but such changes will not affect any order for which we have already sent you a Dispach Confirmation.



We accept payment by credit card and debit card and Paypal.
We use Paypal as gateway for credit card processing and you can pay with credit cards via Paypal without having a Paypal account. You don’t need to register a Paypal account neither.
After you click on “Pay Now” follow the PayPal prompts until you get to their Checkout Log in page.
To pay 
without a PayPal account, click on the “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” button and then continue.

Payment will be debited and cleared from your account at the point at which your order is placed. You confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. Please note that all credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the issuer of the card. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to pay or does not for any reason authorise payment to AKI lamps and we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of Products.
We retain the legal ownership of all Products until full payment has been made by you and received by us and legal ownership of the Products will immediately transfer back to us if we refund any payment for the Products to you. Risk in the Products transfers to you upon delivery.
You accept to receive your Order Confirmation (which includes your receipt of payment) electronically to the e-mail address specified by you during the ordering process or in your personal online account.
The Website uses secure socket layers ("SSL"), the industry standard in transferring information to process your orders made with AKI lamps.



All our parcels require a recipient to be present on delivery. We are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses. If you have a question about your delivery we will advise you if you call our Customer Services Team on +39 366 2760273 during business hours.
We will deliver the merchandise in accordance with the delivery option selected by you. See the Shipping Policy for details of our shipping times and costs.
We aim to deliver within 2 business days from your order confirmation email. Whenever referred to, business days exclude Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays. Any delivery timescales are indicative only.
We are not responsible for delivery delays outside our control. If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for but not received.



When you receive your AKI package, you should inspect the Products and check that everything specified on the delivery note is included.

If your package has been damaged during transportation, we encourage you to not accept the shipment and contact our Customer Service right away. 

If you experience any faulty, defective products or incorrect items, please notify us at wecare@akilamps.com and we will arrange for return, replacement or refund according to your statutory and cancellation rights.



You may return a product without giving reason from the date of the dispatch confirmation up until 14 days after you receive your order. To be eligible for a return, your product must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging, namely in fully resaleable conditions. You will also need to provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us on +39 366 2760273 or at wecare@akilamps.com  and we will provide you with instructions on how to send your package. 
You must contact us within 14 days of receiving the last item of your order.
Rejecting to receive the shipment or sending the products back without informing us is not considered a correct cancellation and a refund cannot be given. 

All products must be returned to: RETURNS, AKI lamps, C/O ERCOLE via per Telve 75/7, 38051 Borgo Valsugana (TN), Italia.
We advise you to ask for tracking services for your returned item as we cannot be held responsible for anything that gets lost or damaged in transit.
The direct cost of returning a product must be paid by you.



We will notify you once we have received your returned product. If your return is approved, we will process your refund as soon as possible (and in any event within 14 days after the day on which we receive the product back from you) on your original payment method. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company credit your account.



If you change your mind or for any other reason you decide you do not want to receive the goods, you have a legal right to cancel the Contract at any time from the date you receive the Dispach Confirmation until the end of the fourteenth working day (14 days) after the day you receive the goods from us. This cancellation right does not apply to any goods which are custom-made or personalised for you.

To cancel a Contract, you just need to let us know that you have decided to cancel. The easiest way to do this is to e-mail us at wecare@akilamps.com or call us on +39 366 2769273 during business hours. In any such e-mail you must include details of your order, including your order number, to enable us to identify it. Alternatively, you may complete this form. Your cancellation is effective from the date you send us the e-mail.

If you cancel your Contract we will:

  1. Refund you the price you paid for the Products. However, please note we are permitted by law to reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a store.
  2. Refund any delivery costs you have paid, although the maximum refund will be the cost of delivery by the least expensive delivery method we offer (as permitted by law).
  3. Direct cost of returning the goods must be paid by you. You must return the Products in suitable packaging.
  4. Make any refund due to you as soon as possible and in any event within 14 days after the day on which we receive the Products back from you.
  5. Refund you via the method of payment used by you to pay. If you used gift cards to pay for the Products we may refund you in gift card.
  6. If a Product has been dispatched to you or you have received it before you decide to cancel your Contract you must return it to us in accordance with the terms of our Returns Policy.



In case a product you receive has conformity defects, flaws or defects non-conforming to the provision of the sale contract, namely:
- unfitted for its intended use, non-conforming to the description on the Website, or lacking the promised quality
the statutory warranty provisions will apply. Within the statutory limitation period of 2 years you may therefore ask for:
- a repair or a replacement without any expense, or, in case repair or replacement is not possible or does not take place within a reasonable period:
- a price reduction or a refund (unless the defect is a minor one).

The statutory warranty does not cover for any faults or malfunction caused by accidental events or by you, namely if the product is used for purposes other than its intended purpose and with respect to what is set out in the technical information enclosed with the product.

If after contacting us and following our complaints procedure you still feel that your complaint has not been resolved satisfactorily, you may access the Online Dispute Resolution platform. We are neither obliged nor prepared to attend a dispute settlement procedure before an alternative dispute resolution entity.



If we breach the Contract, we shall only be liable for losses which are a reasonably foreseeable consequence of such a breach. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time of entering into the Contract.
We are not responsible for:
- losses not caused by our breach;
- indirect losses which are a side effect of the main loss or damage and which are not reasonably foreseeable by you and us at the time of entering into the Contract, for example loss of profits or loss of opportunity; and/or
- failure to provide the goods or to meet any of our obligations under the Contract where such failure is due to events beyond our control.

Our aggregate liability to you in connection with each Contract shall not exceed the value of the goods ordered by you under that Contract. Nothing in these terms seeks to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot by law be validly excluded or limited.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under a Contract to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under the Contract.
Each Contract is personal to you. A Contract is not intended to give rights to anyone except you and us.

We will do our best to resolve any disputes over each Contract. If you wish to take legal actions against us, you must do so in accordance with the 
Online Dispute Resolution platform and Governing Law provision in these Terms and Conditions.


Law, jurisdiction, language

Any contracts entered into as a result of usage of this Website are governed by Italian law (Consumer Code D. Lgs 206 of 06/092015 – Online sales D. Lgs 70 of 09/042003) with exclusion of the CIGS. The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
All contracts are concluded in English.
